Amazon slashes Apple's price on the latest Macbook Air with a $250 discount / Apple Watch with $50 off

Amazon has cut pricing on Apple's latest MacBook Air in what may be a bid to stay price-competitive with Best Buy's Apple Shopping Event.

A MacBook Air with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM was previously $1199 but has now been cut to just $949.99. The $1,399 256 GB model has dropped to $1,149.99. Frequently these types of cuts are seen prior to new product launches, but in this instance the MacBook Air is widely considered to be mid-product cycle.
